A CAMPUS IN THE GARDEN CITY

“How does one envision design such that it reflects the values and ethics of the patron in a tangible manner? And then, how does one design spaces that represent and carry forward a legacy that has been established - and continues to evolve - over centuries?”

Landscape India Project Image 1
A few years ago, the studio was commissioned with designing the Masterplan for one of the most influential companies in automotive technology, and innovation. And thus, began the journey of understanding the history of Bosch, and the values that have been imparted by its Founder - Robert Bosch; values that continue to govern the functioning of the company to this day.

The foundation for the company was laid in 1886 when Robert Bosch established the ‘Workshop for Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering’ in Stuttgart. It has at its core innovation, social commitment, and future planning.

Since then, the company has continued to grow in the many areas that it has taken under its wing - be it automotive advancement, or even construction. Today, the company employs roughly 400,000 associates all across the world.

The company ventured into India through Motor Industries Company Ltd. - MICO - an industrial campus. Over time, the company has realised that diesel and fossil fuels in automobiles have an ebbing future - thereby requiring it to chart out what its coming years would look like; planning for its future. And so, the Master Planning, Landscape Design, and even the Architecture for some buildings were envisioned to become reflective of the organisation’s functioning. It is space that is in the process of being retrofitted to in anticipation of future needs, and growth.
